UNL tools are programming softwares developed to assist linguists in producing UNL resources (such as dictionaries and grammars). They differ from UNL applications in that they are not taylored to non-specialists and require expertise in UNL.
The UNL tools have been developed mainly by the UNL Centre and the UNDL Foundation. Most of UNL Centre's tools are shareware, in the sense that the source code is not provided and users are supposed to sign the UNL Development Set agreement in order to have access to the software. UNDL Foundation's tools are released under GPL license and can be freely downloaded from the UNDL Foundation website.
