CLEA

CLEA (Certificate of Language Engineering Aptitude) is a series of certificates used by the UNDL Foundation to accredit people to work with UNL-driven engines and tools, such as EUGENE and IAN. Each certificate is divided into several different levels, which must be overtaken by candidates in order to be approved. Each level consists of a brief theoretical explanation and some exercises, which are evaluated automatically. CLEA may be pursued at VALERIE, the Virtual Learning Environment for UNL.

Certificates

There are currently 4 CLEA's:

• CLEA²⁵⁰ authorizes the work with UNL-NL dictionaries, i.e., dictionaries where UWs are mapped onto natural language entries
• CLEA⁵⁰⁰ authorizes the work with NL dictionaries, i.e., dictionaries where natural language entries are treated
• CLEA⁷⁵⁰ authorizes the work with the morphological modules of the grammar (inflectional paradigms and inflectional rules)
• CLEA¹⁰⁰⁰ authorizes the work with the syntactic and semantic modules of the grammar

CLEA²⁵⁰

CLEA^{250 certifies that you have reached a standard of knowledge concerning the development of natural language lexical resources and may officially create dictionary entries in UNL-NL dictionaries within the UNLarium as a trainee in your own native language. The certificate is consists of 20 lessons and 250 exercises, of different levels of complexity.}
