Dear All,
A significant update is planned to take place in the UNLarium next
Friday (May 30). As a consequence, the following will be affected:
a) From May 27 to 30, you will not be able to create any new UW in the
UNLarium. Please decline or postpone the entries that cannot be mapped
onto existing UW's.
b) There will be three different special cases for INFLECTIONAL PARADIGMS:
[M0] INVARIANT, to be chosen whenever the word does not have any
inflections (as adjectives and adverbs in English)
[M1] IRREGULAR, to be chosen whenever the word has a unique
inflectional behavior (as the noun "child" or the verb "to be" in
English). In this case, you will have to provide the corresponding
inflectional rules.
[M+] NEW PARADIGM, to be chosen whenever the word is regular but
cannot be associated to any existing paradigm
Semi-regular words, i.e., words that follow regular paradigms except
for some specific cases, must be linked to the corresponding REGULAR
paradigms. The specific irregular cases must be informed in the field
INFLECTIONAL RULES.
For further instructions, see www.unlweb.net/wiki/paradigm .
c) There will be three different special cases for SUBCATEGORIZATION FRAMES:
[Y0] INVARIANT, to be chosen whenever the word does not have require
any complement (as "book" in English)
[Y1] IRREGULAR, to be chosen whenever the word requires a unique
complement (as tritransitive verbs in English). The specific frame
must be informed in the field SUBCATEGORIZATION RULES
[Y+] NEW FRAME, to be chosen whenever the word requires a common
complement and cannot be associated to any existing frame.
For further instructions, see www.unlweb.net/wiki/frame .
It is not necessary that you come back to the entries that you have
already submitted. These new instructions are valid only for the
entries created after these changes are implemented.
At last, we have recently extended some current open funded projects:
BRUNO-A1 is now open to Nepali and Panjabi
NADIA-A2 is now open to Persian and Slovenian
Best,
Ronaldo.
